CHICAGO WINTER BREAK CAMP

Kids STEM Studio will offer students in grades K to 6 a STEMulating Winter break camp. Our camps are aimed at inspiring kids to explore STEM with Hands on Technology and Engineering activities.

CAMP INFORMATION

  • For students in grades K to 6
  • Each day of camp includes 1/2 a day of technology and 1/2 a day of Hands-on Engineering.
  • Campers get to take home their Engineering models.
  • Parents to provide nut free lunch and snacks
  • Low student teacher ratio – 8:1
  • Morning drop off begins at 8:45 am
  • Camp fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • No refunds or makeup will be issued for missing days due to illness or other factors.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

3D Game Design with Roblox Studio
Perfect camp for Roblox enthusiasts to get their creativity flowing with Roblox Studio. Budding game developers will learn to design, create and, publish their own 3D games.

Activities will be customized based on individuals’ skill level. Campers with no Roblox experience are welcome as well.

 
Minecraft Architecture
Minecraft offers a great entry point into the world of architecture. Using Minecraft as CAD tool, our next generation Architects learn various elements of differing architectural styles from medieval to modern architecture. They create the floor plan and design the interiors with various types of stones, materials and shapes to build their dream structure.

Activities will be customized based on individuals’ skill level. Campers with no Minecraft experience are welcome as well.


Hands on Engineering
In our Engineering section, students explore different fields of Engineering with a passion for creativity and tinkering. Students build Engineering toys and models while learning various Engineering laws and principles which they see and experience on a daily basis. They also get to take home their creation after every class.

Camp Details

Drop-off for campers is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and pick-up is from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Extended care is provided from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. If your camper requires extended care, please sign up online.

Please be punctual when picking your camper up at the end of the day. There will be a fee of $1 per minute until the child is picked up.

A nut-free lunch must be brought from home. We also have break time for morning and afternoon snack, so please pack accordingly, and consider also sending a water bottle with your camper. We are happy to fill it for them!

During our break times, electronics are permitted. They are the camper’s responsibility. Kids STEM Studio is not responsible if it becomes lost or damaged.
